1. Evaluation of Your Indramat Servo Motor

The Servo Group begins our process by a careful and comprehensive inspection of all the mechanical and electrical aspects of the Indramat servo motors. 2. Servo Motor Repair

During our evaluation process, we identify parts that fail to meet factory specifications. These parts either gets replaced, repaired, or remanufactured. We ensure that we meet the highest quality servo repair by: Remagnetizing rotor magnets. Rebanding rotors that have broken magnets. Remanufacturing a new Indramat servo motor front flange using the old flange and factory dimensions. Repairing all the windings. Both AC and DC servo motors windings are washed, baked and tested. Repairing or replacing brush holders and Bake-O-Lite insulation tubes on DC motors. Adjusting holding brakes for proper pick voltages and torque.

3. Preliminary Testing of your Servo Repair

Indramat servo motor repairs are “meggered” often during the assembly process. Some of our tests include: Tests to confirm that there aren’t any grounded electrical parts in the servo motor. All AC stators are surge tested to at least 1,500 volts. DC servo motor armatures go undergo a bar to bar test after the baking process to show if there are any shorts or openings in the winding. Servo motor alignment to stored encoder data specification.

4. Servo Motor Assembly

Indramat motors are reassembled after repair and preliminary testing. The internal motor components are often improved by our assembly process. Our assembled motors make use of: High-grade sealed bearings that are designed to add to the life of each Indramat servo motor repair as these seals keep dirt and contamination from getting into the bearing races. Double lip seals in the front flange to prevent coolant from reaching the bearing. All new seals, gaskets, O-rings, and connectors to protect the Indramat servo motor from liquid contamination. Two part epoxy coating for an added protection which is also used on navy submarines. All hardware, screws, nuts, bolts, etc. that are all replaced.

5. Final Testing Of your Repaired Servo Motor
